Emily Taft

Owner & Lead Planner

I'm Emily, the Owner and Lead Planner behind the scenes, crafting unforgettable moments. My journey began with a degree from the University of Nevada Las Vegas, Go Rebels! In Las Vegas I worked for a destination management company that taught me so much about the industry. From event management, to florals & signage design, custom builds, how to create transportation manifests, execute dine-arounds, oversee entertainment and so much more!

In 2020 I moved to Northern Nevada and fell in love with wedding planning. My passion for wedding planning comes from connecting with couples behind the scenes and bringing their dream day to life.

Husband & Wife Duo

Emily is the main planner but she couldn’t do it all herself. Rusty, Emily’s husband is the director of operations and brings a unique perspective to the planning process. This husband and wife duo has been in your shoes, celebrating our wedding in Lake Tahoe in 2023, and we want to make your day just as special as ours was.

• Born and Raised in Reno/Tahoe

Since 2016, Emily has worked for two destination management companies and another event planning company. Even though 2024 marks the inception of Emily Taft Events, we bring over 8 years of experience. From catering to Fortune 500 clients to orchestrating cozy backyard gatherings, we've seen it all.
